Member, Bars of Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

A former staff member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse, where he assisted in defending capital murder cases.

Former Editor of the Capital Defense Journal, Washington & Lee University School of Law.

Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Massachusetts Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

Attorney Stone serves on the Amicus Committee of the Massachusetts Association of Trial Attorneys.
